Better Than Botox? (Wrinkle Cream Ad #12)

by 2 Comments

Strivectin-sd...Better than Botox? This has got to be one of the most potent three-word headlines in history.

It doesn’t make a claim, it doesn’t shout out a benefit.

It just asks the question, is this better than Botox?

Five to seven years ago, Botox was much more in the public’s consciousness due to news stories about its link to unwanted and sometimes lethal side  effects.

But this anti-wrinkle/anti-aging cream, Strivectin-SD subtly promises all the benefits of Botox without the risk.

Klein-Becker is one of the major players in this market and the newsy, unpredictable copy approach made this a breakthrough ad.

This is my first comment here , so I hope I do it — and get it — right. I wanted to start with something simple, like a health and beauty aid, and I saw my wife putting the Made from Earth – Vitamin Enhanced Moisturizer on her face this morning (as she’s done very morning for the past 20 years of our married life) and I asked her why she uses it and is so dedicated to this one particular product. She scowled a bit at me and asked, “Can’t you see why?”

    Point taken.

She looks beautiful and as young as when we first met (Yes, she’s looking over my shoulder as I write this. Ow!)

But seriously, she is well on her way to 50 and (Ow!) looks fantastic. Her face is soft and nearly wrinkle-free, and many women underestimate her age which, of course, she loves.

Whatever materials are contained in it, she has obviously benefitted. But even if she hadn’t been using it, and became wrinkled (Ow!) and hard (Umf!) and aged in appearance (Yow!), I would still love her (Awww!).

The made from earth skin care line – especially the OLIVE NIGHT CREME is a staple in my beauty regiment. I didn’t used to believe in creams and other things to make my skin look younger, but a girlfriend of mine talked me into using this stuff.

I tried it just to try to prove her wrong, but thankfully, I was the one who was wrong! This cream is a lifesaver! Eventhough it’s a little bit expensive, it goes a long way and is well worth the money. My skin is so much firmer and fresher looking.

My skin doesn’t look tired and worn out anymore, but instead I look refreshed and YOUNG! I can’t live without it now! I went on vacation awhile ago and left my revitalizer at home. I tried going without it for the two weeks I was gone but I just couldn’t. I ended up buying some while I was on my trip.

I guess you could say I’m an addict who needed her fix! Nothing wrong with that though since the results are all positive!
