It’s called Google Flu Trends and the claim is Google can use search queries, in conjunction with C.D.C. data, to determine the precise level of influenza activity in your locale (in the United States) several weeks earlier than conventional methods.
As the queries creep up, you’ll know it’s time to head to your doctor for a flu shot.
