Got quite a few emails since blasting a message out about Dr. Mark Stengler’s High Energy for Life Video series.
Emails like:
this promotion is not congruent with the reasons people signed up to your list! (Yes, I know, a high percentage of people want to lose weight.)
And another:
I was expecting something about marketing…so was going back and forth in my mind as I was reading it:
“Is this a weight loss marketing example?…no it looks like a straight promotion…but I’ve never gotten one from Lawrence before…there must be something about marketing…lemme look again…etc.
And last:
Weight loss promo? Does not compute. Would Clayton or Gary mail a weight loss promo?
So, I see how this message may have caused a disconnect.
As for Clayton or Gary mailing a health promo directly to their email lists…my defense is: I’m not Clayton or Gary…though I wouldn’t say no to a Vulcan mind meld that’d give me their super powers for a week or so.
Bottom line is, I’m CERTAIN about the power of Dr. Stengler’s material and I’ll always pull the trigger on something I believe in that can help my subscribers. (And full disclosure: I am an affiliate.)
If you’re a marketer of any consequence, criticism will find you. You have to learn to take the slings and arrows.
I’ve always liked Elbert Hubbard’s quote:
To avoid criticism do nothing, say nothing, be nothing.
(Now, that you put it that way, criticism doesn’t sound so bad.)
I am in for a pound on this video series and in this second of four videos (just over 14 minutes) Dr. Stengler riffs several times about:
Memory and Mood
I know a LOT of copywriters and marketers.
As copywriters, we excel at what we do through careful research, checklists, a deep knowledge of the products/services we sell, as well as understanding the psychology of the markets we serve.
But you can throw ALL those things out the window if you’ve got a fatigued brain.
The fact is there are a plethora of deficiencies that no only sap your memory but destroy your mood…and it’s almost IMPOSSIBLE to write, market or do anything well once that’s happened.
Speaking for myself, I’ll accept the recall shortage over rotten moods. When you’ve got three young kids like I do, on top of the usual dozens of weekly obligations most of us shoulder, even someone with
a triathlete’s will power can feel like throwing in the towel.
Thanks to one of Dr. Stengler’s recommendations in this video in the High Energy for Life series and mentioned frequently in his print newsletter, I found out about a natural supplement that keeps your mood up-up-up without side effects.
Some people find it more powerful than prescription anti-depressants and it sounds like a man’s name. (Once again, NO side effects if consumed properly.)
Get the scoop on it here along with Dr. Stengler’s strategies for a more focused, reliable, and youthful brain. (Video is just over 14 minutes and worth it!)

I know i’d respect you more if you simply said I promoted this to my list because I’m going to get paid.
Having seen all the e-mails coming from the guys over at boardroom about promoting this and getting paid it’s obvious you’re getting paid
Why not just say so?
we’d still respect you in the morning 😉

Hey Jack,
Happy Saturday to you.
Unintentionally, I omitted “(And full disclosure: I am an affiliate.)” from this post. It was in my email blast, though. Thanks for the heads-up.
