“Fortunately, most Investors think like losers. That’s how people like me get rich.”

A smug, smiling Julian Snyder straddles his limo, across the street from the New York Stock Exchange.
It takes no more than two seconds to absorb his positioning, making this a most memorable investment ad.
The appeal of the book, The Way of The Hunter-Warrior: How To Make A Killing In Any Market is based on the power of metaphor.
Take the following:
- “A financial warrior can always find a way to make money.”
- “The investment jungle”
- “When to move in for the kill”
- and “…become a financial samurai.”
Even through the lens of the present craziness in the financial markets, there are plenty of relevant bullets in this textbook space ad, like:
- An easy-to-learn mental trick for avoiding the groupthink trap that gets you in the market too late — and keeps you there too long.
- The THREE things to do — and the ONE thing to avoid at all costs — when you are a small investor without much capital to preserve.
One of the little known advantages of proven book advertising is self-publishers and info-marketers can model timeless templates like these for creating advertising for high margin home-study-courses.

You know I picked up a copy of Julian Snyder’s book about four years or so ago. I saw it mentioned on Amazon and I liked the title! It turned out to be brilliant. He did know what he was talking about, from an evolutionary (hunter-gatherer) and martial arts perspective.
For me it’s a classic, and I’m no investor. I’m a British journalist, but am interested in things like evolutionary psychology, zen, parkour, Bruce Lee, martial arts, etc.
But the ad you’ve got their is tacky! But then again you have to grab attention to sell things. I put out some pretty sensational press releases for my books (published by mainstream publishers), in a bid to get coverage and earn more royalties.
Anyway, I just thought I’d mention that “The Way of the Hunter Warrior” really is worth reading.
At the same time your cynicism is warranted, certainly for the majority of books in this genre. But maybe not this one.

The way of hunter warrior has been my bible for the last 30 yrs. I have made over 1 million dollars following the philosophy of this book, it’s a very easy read for a high school dropout like myself. Money does grow on trees if you know how to plant the tree.
Thank you Julian. I plan on buying this book for my grand children.
